#GLIACWBB -- Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) women's basketball recap summaries from action on Saturday, December 9th, 2017. #1 Ashland and #18 Michigan Tech remained unbeaten in league play while Northwood and Grand Valley State are just behind at 3-1 following Saturday play.

#1 ASHLAND DEF. DAVENPORT, 96-50 | BOX SCORE

AU's Laina Snyder posted 21 points and 11 rebounds to pace the Eagles to their 47th consecutive victory. Jodi Johnson also recorded 21 points, eight rebounds and eight steals to go with four assists in the victory. Ashland was more than sound once again at both ends of the floor, hitting 48.8 percent from the floor with 31 assists, and forcing 27 turnovers and keeping Davenport to 33.9-shooting from the field. The Eagles also had 52 rebounds, the second time in three days they collected at least 50 caroms.

#18 MICHIGAN TECH DEF. PURDUE NORTHWEST, 86-40 | BOX SCORE

The Lady Huskies used 58.3 percent shooting performance to distance themselves from the Pride on the road in Illinois to improve to 10-1 on the year and a perfect 4-0 in league play. Tech received 47 points off its bench and used a 28-8 advantage in the second quarter to put PNW away. MTU dished out 23 assists compared to only six for Purdue Northwest.

GRAND VALLEY STATE DEF. NORTHERN MICHIGAN, 66-59 (2 OT) | BOX SCORE

A late triple from GVSU's Natalie Koenig forced the contest into overtime as the Lakers earned the victory in double overtime. Taylor Parmley led GVSU with 23 points, while Jenn DeBoer posted 18 points with Koenig also grabbing nine boards. Northern Michigan's Lexi Smith dropped in a game-high 29 points, while Erin Honkala grabbed 19 rebounds to give NMU a 54-39 rebounding edge in the defeat. The contest featured 14 ties and seven lead changes as the Lakers earned the win following their second straight overtime battle.

WAYNE STATE DEF. TIFFIN, 65-56 | BOX SCORE

Wayne State jumped out to a 21-9 edge in the first quarter to lead throughout as the Warriors improved to 7-3 on the year and 2-2 in conference action. The Warriors won the rebounding battle 42-33 while also controlling the paint by a 34-18 margin. WSU was guided by Shannon Wilson's 15 points and seven rebounds, while Nastassja provided 13 points off the bench. Tiffin's Annie Santucci posted a game-high 16 ponts.

NORTHWOOD DEF. LAKE SUPERIOR STATE, 78-61 | BOX SCORE

Northwood's Lindsay Orwat recorded a game-high 28 points and six assists on 8-of-15 shooting, including a perfect 10-for-10 from the foul line while getting 16 points from her teammate Maddy Seeley in the victory. The Timerwolves earned a 20-4 points off turnovers advantage as NU committed just four miscues on the night while forcing Lake State into 15 turnovers. LSSU was paced by Tamara Novic who scored 17 points on a perfect 7-for-7 from the field.

SAGINAW VALLEY DEF. FERRIS STATE, 77-72 | BOX SCORE

Saginaw Valley's Abby Duffy recorded a game-high 21 points on 10-of-13 shooting to go with six rebounds as the Cardinals used a 20-11 fourth-quarter advantage to put the game away. Ferris State's Adrienne Anderson led the Bulldogs with 17 points coming off the bench. SVSU outmuscled FSU on the boards by a slight 40-36 margin to pick up the win.
