WBCA Division II Women's Basketball Rankings
WBCA -- The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) has placed two Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) women's basketball programs inside the Top 25.
Ashland (6-0) remained the unanimous favorite atop the WBCA Coaches' Poll for the 15th straight time in the regular season/postseason, tying the record set by Cal Poly Pomona (Jan. 5, 1985-Feb. 8, 1987) and matched by Bentley (Nov. 19, 2013-April 1, 2014). The official D-II women's basketball poll started in 1982-83. AU's Jodi Johnson captured GLIAC South Player of the Week accolades after she led the Eagles to three wins during the Thanksgiving week, highlighted by a victory over No. 8 Lubbock Christian.
Michigan Tech dropped to No. 18 following a 2-1 week in which Michigan Tech senior guard Brenna Heise captured GLIAC North Player of the Week honors after she posted a MTU single-game tying 37 points against Augustana. Tech is 6-1 on the year heading into conference action.
Grand Valley State is also receiving votes but sitting outside the Top 25.
