NCAA.com -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has five programs headed to 2018 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Superior Regionals at Katke Golf Course on the campus of Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. Grand Valley State is the No. 2 seed coming off their 13th GLIAC Championship one week ago as the Lakers look to use that momentum as a springboard to a trip to the national finals in Houston, Texas. Northern Michigan (No. 5), Ashland (No. 7), Tiffin (No. 9) and Wayne State (No. 10) all cemented their spots in regional play.

Saginaw Valley State's Sabrina Coffman is also headed to Big Rapids as an individual following her top-5 finish at the 2018 GLIAC Women's Golf Championship last week. Coffman is the No. 2 seed of the individuals that qualified aside from the advancing teams and recently was named Second Team All-GLIAC posting a scoring average of 76.85. She recorded seven, top-10 finished and three, top-5 showings this season.

The NCAA Division II women’s golf super regional competition will be conducted May 7-9. Each site will consist of both team and individual competition conducted concurrently with 12 teams and 6 individuals from non-qualifying teams at each site. All participants will compete through the 54 holes of competition. The top three teams along with the top three individuals not with a team from each super regional will advance to the championships.

The championships will be held May 16-19 at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas. The number of participants that qualify for the finals is 72.
