BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced its seventh GLIAC Lacrosse Athlete of the Week awards of the 2017 season. This week Tiffin senior midfielder Morgan Sherley earned her second straight GLIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week award, while her teammate senior defender Randi Castner earned GLIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week rounding out the Tiffin sweep.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Morgan Sherley, Tiffin
In a week that saw the Dragons go 2-0, Tiffin senior midfielder Morgan Sherley was the leader on the offensive end. She dished out four assists against Northern Michigan and added a season-high six goals in a victory over Grand Valley.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Randi Castner, Tiffin
Senior defender Randi Castner was all over the field for Tiffin, scoring her first goal of the season against Northern Michigan. In a close win over Grand Valley, Castner paced the defense with three caused turnovers. Her play in transition was a difference maker for the Dragons.
