BAY CITY, Mich. -- The field for the 2017 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women's Lacrosse Tournament is set with quarterfinal action beginning Tuesday (May 2) on campus sites. Grand Valley State and McKendree each earned a share of the 2017 GLIAC regular-season title as the Lakers and Bearcats finished with identical 6-1 records in league play good enough for 18 points a piece.

GVSU earned the No. 1 seed following their head-to-head victory with McKendree last Sunday. Grand Valley State captured its fifth conference title capturing at least a share of the conference crown in all five years of GLIAC Lacrosse since its inception back in 2013. This is McKendree's first conference title as the Bearcats are affiliate members in the emerging sport. Both teams will receive first-round byes and automatically advance to Friday's (May 5) semifinal round hosted by the top-seed Grand Valley State. The GLIAC Tournament title match will be held on Sunday (May 7) in Allendale.

Indianapolis landed in the No. 3 position with a 5-2 mark and 15 points, while the Tiffin Dragons are the No. 4 seed with the same credentials. UIndy defeated TU on Friday (April 28) to jump ahead of the Dragons on the seed line. Indianapolis will battle welcome No. 6 Findlay in quarterfinal action, while Tiffin battles No. 5 Lake Erie on Tuesday.
