GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced its second GLIAC Lacrosse Athlete of the Week awards of the 2018 season. This week, the GVSU Lakers captured both lacrosse weekly honors. Grand Valley State senior attacker Ashley Bailey earned GLIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week accolades, while her Grand Valley State teammate senior goalkeeper Brianna DeMilia earned GLIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week honors.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Ashley Bailey, Grand Valley State
Grand Valley State senior attacker Ashley Bailey was a big offensive threat against No. 4 Le Monye where she recorded seven points on three goals and four assists. Bailey then recorded six points on four goals and two assists against No. 12 Regis.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Brianna DeMilia, Grand Valley State
Grand Valley State senior goalkeeper Brianna DeMilia stopped 14 shots with one ground ball against No. 4 Le Moyne before registering 14 saves along with a pair of ground balls and two caused turnovers against No. 12 Regis.
