GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced its sixth GLIAC Lacrosse Athlete of the Week awards of the 2018 season. This week Tiffin senior midfielder Elle MacMillan earned GLIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week accolades for the second consecutive week, while Concordia-St. Paul sophomore goalkeeper Katie Lottsfeldt earned GLIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week honors.


OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Elle MacMillan, Tiffin

Tiffin senior midfielder Elle MacMillan earned her second consecutive GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week honor during the Dragons' 1-1 week. She posted 9 goals, 6 ground balls, 5 draw controls, and 4 caused turnovers for the week, including 4 goals and an assist in a 13-10 win over Davenport. She also had a strong game at #13 Grand Valley State, totaling 5 goals, 4 ground balls, and 4 draws in a 19-13 defeat. She is currently second in the GLIAC in goals scored, just one goal off the conference lead.


DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Katie Lottsfeldt, Concordia-St. Paul

Concordia-St. Paul sophomore goalkeeper Katie Lottsfeldt's three game run last week included back-to-back double-digit save performances and also allowed just five goals in the Golden Bears' road win at Northern Michigan. For the week, Concordia's sophomore goalie had a .491 save percentage, racking up 27 saves while facing 66 total shots. Active in and around the net, Lottsfeldt secured nine ground balls and had three caused turnovers. On the year, she ranks fourth in the GLIAC with a .440 save percentage and 93 goals allowed. She also ranks second in the GLIAC (18th in D2) with 4.11 ground balls per game.
