GRAND LAKE, Colo. - Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference affiliate member Indianapolis is tied for 12th to lead league teams in the 2019 IWLCA Division II Coaches Pre-Season Poll, which was announced Monday. Grand Valley State is 17th, and McKendree 25th.
Le Moyne College claimed the number one spot in the IWLCA Division II Coaches Pre-Season Poll, claiming all 25 available first place votes. Le Moyne posted a 22-1 record last year as they captured the 2018 NCAA National Championship, and the first in program history. Adelphi University checks in at number two, followed closely by the 2018 NCAA Runner Up, Florida Southern, in the third position.
Defending GLIAC champion GVSU finished 11-1 in the conference last season, while Indianpolis was 11-2. UIndy claimed a 21-13 victory over McKendree to win the 2018 GLIAC Tournament title.
