Lake Erie Set to Host University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown on Retro Wrestling Day

PAINESVILLE, Ohio-- The 16th-ranked Lake Erie College wrestling team returns to the home mat this afternoon for a nonconference dual with 13th-ranked University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. The Storm (7-3) is looking to rebound from a loss at Mercyhurst University in their last outing.

RETRO WRESTLING NIGHT: Fans are encouraged to dress like their favorite wrestler of the past to the match to celebrate Retro Wrestling Day.  The best costumed fan will win $100.

YOUTH WRESTLING NIGHT: All local youth wrestlers in the eighth grade and under receive free admission to the event by wearing their school or club apparel.

LAST TIME OUT: The Storm fell to the 12th-ranked Mercyhurst Lakers in Erie, Pa. on Jan. 18.Chevy FarrisEvan RosboroughAustin Gillihan and Tyler Tesny picked up decision victories for Lake Erie.

SERIES HISTORY: This is the fourth straight year these two teams have met in a regular-season dual meet, with Pitt-Johnstown winning the first three meetings. Last year, the Storm fell on the road to the Mountain Cats, 23-13.

OPPOSITION POSITION: Pitt-Johnstown is 9-1 in dual meets this season with their only loss coming to Kurtztown University in November.  In their most recent outing, the Mountain Cats defeated Millersville Univeristy, 40-4.
