Lake Erie Set to Host West Liberty on Red, White and Blue Night

STORM HOSTS HILLTOPPERS IN FINAL HOME MATCH OF THE SEASON: The Lake Erie College wrestling team returns to the friendly confines of the Jerome T. Osborne Family Athletic and Wellness Center for the final time this season to face West Liberty University.

RED, WHITE AND BLUE: Fans are encouraged to wear red, white and blue to the match.  The most spirited fan gets a $50 gift card! In addition, all military personnel receive free admission with military ID.

LAST TIME OUT: The Storm captured the program's and school's first ever Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Chmapionship last weekend.  The Storm defeated the University of Findlay, Tiffin University and 17th-ranked Ashland University en route to championship.  Dylan Kager, Zak Vargo, Tyler Tesny, Dylan Zivcic and Evan Rosborough were all named First-Team All-GLIAC while Keanu Thompson, Austin Gillihan and Chevy Farris were named All-GLIAC Second-Team.

SERIES HISTORY: This is the third straight year these two teams have met in a regular-season dual meet, with Lake Erie winning the first two meetings. Last year, the Storm defeated the Hilltoppers 39-6 on the road.  The only blemish for the Storm was a forfeit at 125-pounds.

OPPOSITION POSITION: West Liberty is 3-2 in duals this season.  They most recently defeated Ohio Valley University on Jan. 28, 25-14.

STAT LEADERS: In the latest stat releases, Austin Gillihan leads all D-II wrestlers with seven tecnhical falls while Evan Rosborough is in the top-10 with eight pins this season.
