BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) selected Tiffin junior Garrett Gray as the third GLIAC Wrestler of the Week for the 2016 season after an impressive performance at the Super Region II Duals in South Carolina.

Highlights: Tiffin junior grappler Garrett Gray continued his stellar season, finishing a perfect 4-0 at the Super Region II Duals held in Hartville, South Carolina. Gray dominated at 285 pounds, opened with a pin in 2:45 over Limestone, then had 5-4 (UNC-Pembroke) and 5-1 (Belmont Abbey) decisions before polishing off his final opponent from Anderson University via pin in just 14 seconds. Overall the Dragons went 5-0 at the event, while Gray is currently ranked 6th in total falls in the NCAA and is the only heavyweight ranked in the top 10. |

Honor Roll Nick Goebel (Findlay) Joe Brandt (Ashland) The highlight of Saturday evening was Brandt reaching career victory No. 100 as an Eagle. Brandt, the No. 3-ranked wrestler in the country at 197 pounds, took down Newberry's Cody Brundage by a 4-1 decision in the first dual of the evening. Lake Erie - Did not compete. |
