BAY CITY, Mich. - Michigan Technological University sophomore Lexi Herrewig (Fond du Lac, Wis./Winnebago Lutheran) and Grand Valley State University senior Kayla Kimble (Livonia, Mich./Stevenson) earned GLIAC Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive "Athlete of the Week" awards, respectively.

Michigan Tech sophomore forward Lexi Herrewig led the Huskies to a pair of wins over the weekend and extended her scoring streak to three games. Herrewig scored two goals and added an assist in Tech’s 3-1 win over Malone on Friday and scored her eighth of the season in the 3-1 win at Walsh on Sunday. She has four goals and two assists in the last three games and leads the Huskies in points with 19 on the season, tying her for eighth in the GLIAC.

Grand Valley State University senior
defender Kayla Kimble scored her first goal of the season in the
Lakers’ 1-0 victory over Lake Erie on Friday (Nov. 1). In the
76th minute, Kimble fired a penalty kick into the upper right
corner of the goal to push GVSU past the Storm. The Livonia, Mich.
product also helped the Laker backline hold Ferris State (Oct. 30)
and Lake Erie to a combined two shots.
