GVSU 2nd, Ashland 23rd in NSCAA Women's Soccer Rankings

KANSAS CITY, MO. — Two teams are ranked inside the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) national women's soccer rankings after one week of action. 

Grand Valley State fell one spot to No. 2 following a 1-0-1 start out in California which consisted of a 2-0 season-opening victory over Cal State-San Bernardino before drawing with Cal Poly Pomona 1-1 to finish the weekend. Ashland entered the Top 25 for the first time since Sept. 13, 2005. The Eagles arrive at No. 23 after a 1-0-1 mark against two 2015 NCAA Tournament teams in their first week of competition. AU tied the NSCAA's preseason No. 25 team in Truman State, 1-1, after two overtimes on Thursday (Sept. 1), then beat Quincy, 1-0, on Saturday (Sept. 3).
