2017 GLIAC WOMEN'S SOCCER TOURNAMENT CENTRAL
BAY CITY, Mich. — The 2017 GLIAC Women's Soccer Tournament got underway today (Oct. 31) with quarterfinal action taking place on campus sites.
Top-seeded Grand Valley State took down No. 8 Michigan Tech by a 5-0 decision, while No. 2 Ashland eliminated No. 7 Northern Michigan by a 3-0 final tally. No. 4 Tiffin came back from an early 2-0 deficit to defeat No. 5 Davenport in overtime before No. 6 Saginaw Valley recorded the biggest upset of the tournament as the Cardinals downed No. 3 Ferris State, 2-1.
No. 1 Grand Valley State will square off in the first semifinal match on Friday (Nov. 3) against No. 4 Tiffin, while No. 2 Ashland faces No. 6 Saginaw Valley in the nightcap.
