Three GLIAC Programs Improve United Soccer Coaches Women's Soccer Top 25 Positions

KANSAS CITY, MO. — Three teams remain ranked and improved their positions inside the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) national women's soccer Top 25 poll. Grand Valley State moved up one spot to No. 2 in the country following two more shutouts, while Ferris State improved three positions to No. 14 with Ashland jumped up four notches to No. 18. 

GVSU posted a 5-0 defeat over UIndy on Tuesday before defeating Davenport on the road 2-0 on Sunday. FSU went on the road to Michigan Tech and posted a 1-0 shutout before taking down Northern Michigan 2-1 on Sunday. Ashland took down Parkside at home 1-0 on Friday prior to shutting out Purdue Northwest by a 5-0 final.

This week features a Top 25 matchup when No. 18 Ashland travels to No. 14 Ferris State on Friday (Sept. 28), while No. 2 GVSU travels to PNW that same day. FSU then hosts Saginaw Valley, while Ashland travels to Northwood as GVSU heads to Parkside in Sunday action.
