Grand Valley State, Ferris State, Saginaw Valley & Ashland Advance to GLIAC Women's Soccer Tournament Semifinals

2018 GLIAC WOMEN'S SOCCER TOURNAMENT CENTRAL

GLIAC — The 2018 GLIAC Women's Soccer Tournament commenced Tuesday (Oct. 30) with quarterfinal action taking place on campus sites.

Top-seeded Grand Valley State defeated No. 8 Purdue Northwest 6-1 and will host the semifinal and championship rounds Friday (Nov. 2) and Sunday (Nov. 4) in Allendale, Mich. The Lakers will battle No. 5 Ashland who went up to Houghton and earned a 1-0 road victory thanks to perfect corner kick execution when Makenzie Kelly found the back of the net from Tori Baker in the 48th minute.

No. 2 Ferris State picked up a 4-1 victory over No. 7 Davenport as the Bulldogs received a goal and an assist from Grace Verhage to lead the way. FSU will match up with No. 3 Saginaw Valley who eliminated No. 6 Parkside by a 4-0 margin. The Cardinals produced a pair of goals from Molly Vanderhoff in the victory.
