GLIAC. -- The 2021 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Teams have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.

Ferris State led the league and the District with three standouts represented in NCAA Division II District 4, which is comprised of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic, Great Lakes Valley, and Great Midwest Athletic conferences.

Senior Goalkeeper Taryn Meiste, who was voted GLIAC Goalkeeper of the year, received All-District recognition, following a season where she only allowed two goals and led the Bulldogs to a Regular Season Title. Meiste was joined by teammates Maddie Dickens and Mackenzie Dawes who both were keys players for FSU. Dickens earned All-GLIAC First team Accolades, and was one of the league's top defenders, finishing the year with one goal and two assists. Meanwhile, Dawes received All-GLIAC Second team recognition, following a 2021 campaign where she produced one goal and three assists.

The Ashland Eagles and Michigan Tech Huskies, both landed one representative on the All-District team. GLIAC Defensive Player of the year Tori Baker led an Eagles defense that allowed one goal all season, while Jesse Jacobusse led the Michigan tech Huskies with seven goals and 15 points and received All GLIAC Honorable Mention honors.
