NCAA Men's & Women's Tennis Tournament Selections Announced

2015 NCAA MEN'S TENNIS TOURNAMENT

INDIANAPOLIS - Three Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) men's tennis teams earned the right to compete in the NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Tournament Regional. Northwood earned hosting duties as the No. 2 seed, while Drury is the top seed in the Midwest Region.

Northwood and Grand Valley State, the No. 7 seed, will meet in a rematch of the 2015 GLIAC Men's Tennis Tournament Semifinals in Midland. The winner of that match will take on the winner of Missouri-St. Louis and Indianapolis. 

In the other side of the Midwest Region at Drury, the GLIAC regular season champion Ferris State is the No. 4 seed and matched up with Southern Indiana with the winner awaiting the Drury vs. Lewis victor. 

 

2015 NCAA WOMEN'S TENNIS TOURNAMENT

INDIANAPOLIS - A total of five Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) women's tennis squads received bids for the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Tournament Regional. Wayne State earned the No. 1 seed and hosting duties for one of two regionals in the Midwest Region.

The Warriors will play host to fellow conference opponents No. 4 Northwood and No. 5 Grand Valley State at the Multipurpose Indoor Facility on Saturday and Sunday (May 2-3). The Timberwolves and Lakers will battle on Friday for the right to face No. 1 seeded Wayne State. 

In Midwest Region No. 2, Tiffin drew the No. 6 seed and will go up against No. 3 Drury. Indianapolis, the No. 2 seed, will serve as host and face No. 7 Ferris State.
