BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its women's tennis weekly awards following the seventh week of the regular season. Wayne State University sophomore Liv Peisachovitz claimed GLIAC Athlete of the Week honors on the final week prior to the GLIAC Tournament which begins Friday, Oct. 28 at the Greater Midland Tennis Center.
ATHLETE OF THE WEEK - Liv Peisachovitz, Wayne State
Wayne State University sophomore Liv Peisachovitz (Vaughan, Ont.) led the Warrios to a 7-2 victory over Hillsdale in the fall regular-season finale on Oct. 19. She went 2-0 against the Chargers. Peisachovitz posted a two-set win (6-1, 6-0) over Corinne Prost at the second singles flight. The sophomore partnered with junior Liz Ghellere (Ararangua, Brazil) at No. 1 doubles and defeated Halle Hyman and Katie Bell, 9-8(5).
