GLIAC -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced its fourth women's tennis weekly awards for the 2018 season. Lake Superior State sophomore AlexiAnn Drouin claimed GLIAC Player of the Week honors after an impressive weekend.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: AlexiAnn Drouin - Lake Superior State
Lake Superior State sophomore and reigning 2017 GLIAC Player of the Year, AlexiAnn Drouin, went a combined 4-0 this past weekend at No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles vs. Grand Valley State and Ferris State University. Drouin gave Madison Ballard of GVSU her first loss of the season in singles, 6-2, 7-6 (4) and also beat Nika Hein of FSU 6-2, 6-1 on Sunday to help the Lakers beat the Bulldogs for the first time since September 28, 2012.
