Indoor Track and Field Teams Participate at NCAA DII National Championships3/12/09 Houston, Texas -- The NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field National Championships will be held March 13-14 in Houston, Texas at the Yeoman Field House. The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC)will be well represented. Nine schools including Ashland, Ferris State, Findlay, Grand Valley State, Hillsdale, Northern Michigan, Northwood, Saginaw Valley State and Tiffin will participate with 63 student-athletes competing in 16 events. |

GVSU's Wheat and AU's Cooper Named GLIAC Women's Indoor Track and Field "Athletes of the Year", Respectively3/5/09 University Center, Mich. -- Grand Valley State's Candice Wheat (Pontiac, Mich.) and Ashland's Tara Cooper (Circleville, Ohio) have been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Women's Indoor Track and Field "Athletes of the Year", respectively. Findlay's Raven Clay (Detroit, Mich.) was tabbed with "Freshman of the Year" honors and "Coach of the Year" accolades go to Jerry Baltes of Grand Valley State. |
