Davenport's Dill, Northern Michigan's Kuehn Tabbed GLIAC Players of the Week

BAY CITY, Mich. -- The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) has announced weekly awards following the final weekend of the regular season. Northern Michigan redshirt sophomore middle blocker Sarah Kuehn earned GLIAC Volleyball North Division honors, while Davenport senior outside hitter Krissy Dill captured South Division accolades.


NORTH PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Sarah Kuehn, Northern Michigan

Northern Michigan redshirt sophomore middle blocker Sarah Kuehn helped guide the WIldcats to a 2-0 weekend, including an upset victory over Ferris St. Friday night. Averaging 15 kills per match, she posted 18 against the Bulldogs, with a hitting percentage of .500. Averaging 3.75 kills a set, she finished with a hitting percentage at .451. Kuehn also averaged 2.13 blocks per set, getting eight against FSU and nine in just three sets against Northwood. 


SOUTH PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Krissy Dill, Davenport

Davenport senior outside hitter Krissy Dill helped lead her team into the GLIAC Tournament (DU's first season in GLIAC) with two five-set wins this week over Wayne State and Grand Valley State. She tallied 17 kills, four aces and nine digs against the Warriors after falling down 2-0. Dill then went for 21 kills, 17 digs, three aces and three blocks to complete season sweep over the Lakers.
