Ferris State Moves Up to No. 6 in Latest AVCA Volleyball Poll

AVCA -- Ferris State is the lone Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) program ranked inside this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top 25 Poll. Ferris State (23-4, 16-0 GLIAC) jumped up two spots to No. 6 in this week's poll while Michigan Tech (22-5, 14-2 GLIAC) fell from No. 24 to the first team outside the Top 25.

Ashland (25-5, 14-2 GLIAC) also sits outside the Top 25 rankings in the other receiving votes category. The GLIAC Tournament Quarterfinals begin Wednesday (Nov. 7) on campus sites. FSU will host Parkside, MTU welcomes Grand Valley State and AU battles Davenport in Ohio. Saginaw Valley also matches up with Wayne State to round out quarterfinal action.
