MEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Tanner Chada - Grand Valley State

GVSU sophomore Tanner Chada finished second at the Conference Crossover hosted by Lewis on Saturday (Oct. 12) with a time of 25:08.3, just a second after the meet champion.  This is Chada’s third GLIAC Athlete of the Week honor.  The 2018 GLIAC Freshman of the Year helped lead the Lakers to their first win of the season and owns one individual win at the Buckeye Preview (Sept. 28).

WOMEN'S ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Allie Ludge - Grand Valley State

Laker senior Allie Ludge was crowned the individual champion with a time of 22:12.1 at the Conference Crossover, more than 20 seconds before the runner-up.  This season, she has accumulated a seventh place finish at the Division I dominated Buckeye Preview and a sixth place completion at Michigan State’s Spartan Invite.  Ludge owns three GLIAC Athlete of the Week honors and was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Athlete of the Week on Monday after her performance in GVSU’s win at Lewis.
