GLIAC -- The 2020-21 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) competition year is complete and the results have been tabulated. The Grand Valley State Lakers have captured their 27th GLIAC Presidents' Trophy and sit atop the conference standings for the 22nd consecutive season.

GVSU collected 144.0 points and ten league championships during the 2020-21 season, including seven titles and 86 points in women's competition along with three championships and 58 points in men's action 

Ashland earned its 16th straight runner-up finish with 94.5 points, to finish ahead of Saginaw Valley State in third with 85.5 points. Wayne State placed fourth with an 82.5-point total, followed by Ferris State who finished a half a point behind Wayne State, landing them in fifth.

The GLIAC Presidents' Trophy standings are based on final regular season standings except for the following sports that are based on conference tournament finish: cross country, golf, indoor track & field, outdoor track & field, swimming & diving.

The Presidents' Trophy, commonly referred to as the All-Sports Trophy, is awarded at the end of each year of competition to the conference member having demonstrated general excellence in all or most sports. The award is designed to promote well-rounded athletic programs within each member institution.
