Huskies topped by Hilltoppers

Huskies topped by Hilltoppers

ALMONTE SPRING, Fla. - West Liberty snuck past Michigan Tech 4-3 in men's tennis Thursday at Sanlando Park. The Huskies started with the team doubles point, but lost four singles matches, including the clincher at No. 6 in the last match to finish. The Hilltoppers improved to 5-1.

"We really should have won the match today," said head coach Kristin D'Agostini-Yep. "Our team didn't bring the A-game. On a positive note, it has been a long time since we won the team double point and I was happy we played well in that area."

Nikolai Prosjanykov and Eli Pinnoo found success for Tech in both singles and doubles.

Michigan Tech (0-7) is 0-3 in Florida this week and takes on No. 28 Lynn on Friday to conclude the trip.
