After entering the game as a defensive replacement in the fifth inning, Jacob Badalamenti (Clinton Twp., Mich. / De La Salle) sent his first career home run over the wall in right field to put Wayne State on top 9-8.  Brennan Cox (Taylor, Mich. / Riverview Gabriel Richard) (2-0) kept the Lakers off the scoreboard over the final two inning as WSU collected the one-run triumph.
