LIMA, Ohio -- Just one day after falling in heartbreaking fashion to Tiffin, the Wayne State University women's tennis team (3-2 overall) was able to turn the page and put together a dominant performance against Northwestern Ohio (2-4 overall).  The Warriors upended the Racers, 7-0.

SINGLES
Beginning at No. 1 singles, Anais Ruyssen (Nantes, France) made quick work of her opponent, winning 6-0, 6-4.

Laura Cazacu (London, England) was also strong at No. 3 singles, claiming a 6-1, 6-0 victory.

At No. 5 singles, Sabrina Laynes (Saginaw, Mich. / Heritage) was able to collect a 6-1, 6-3 win.

Marta Komar (Inowroclaw, Poland) was also victorious in her match, posting a 6-4, 6-4 win.

Brianna Douglas (Dayton, Ohio / Chaminade Julienne) won a hard-fought, three-set match at No. 4 singles.  She won the match, 6-2, 3-6, 11-9.

Finally, at No. 6 singles, Carla Jewell (Hobart, Ind.) was able to pull out a 7-6 (3), 6-2 victory.

DOUBLES
Much like singles, the Warriors were dominant in doubles as well.  The pair of Cazacu and Teodora Radu (Ramnicu Valcea, Romania) swept their opponent 6-0 at No. 3 doubles.

Playing at No. 2 doubles, Douglas and Suki Mandair (Dexter, Mich. / Ann Arbor Skyline) were able to grab a 6-1 victory.

Ruyssen and Komar won 6-3 at No. 1 doubles.

FROM COACH MOORE
"The girls came out strong in doubles today and were able to carry that energy over into their singles matches," Assistant Coach Yahsha Moore said.  "Overall, it was a good bounce back after yesterday's heartbreaker."
