Dragons open with 4-3 win over Huskies

Tiffin University (1-0) won a slim 4-3 decision at Michigan Tech as the Dragons opened up their spring season.

The Dragons found themselves a point behind after dropping two of the three doubles matches. Carina Avram-Anaelle Lepinay picked up the lone victory in a 6-4 decision while Shea Foster and Emily Barrett fell 7-5 and Mathilde Gilles and Jessica Peace lost a 6-4 match.

The Dragons won four of the six singles matches, including three of them in three sets. After Lepinay pulled out a 7-5, 6-4 victory, Barrett gutted through a 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 victory. Peace also came back to win 3-6, 7-6, 6-1 at third singles, while Gilles also won at six singles 2-6, 6-3, 6-0.

Avram fell in her match 7-6, 6-2, while Celine Ferron fell 6-2, 7-5.
