Oilers Cruise Past Panthers | Beat Davenport 19-10

Findlay, Ohio - The University of Findlay women's lacrosse team defeated Davenport University Panthers by a score of 19-10 on Thursday, Mar. 23 at the Armstrong Sports Complex. With this win the Oilers now have a 3-6 record on the season.  

The Oilers outshot the Pathers 38-21, outscoring Davenport in every quarter except the fourth in which they tied and secured 13 more draws than Davenport during play.   

Freshman Tessa Chuba is making her mark on the Oilers roster, scoring six goals for the team, controlling two draws and getting one groundball. Sophomore Olivia Alvarado found the back of the net five times and had six draw controls for the Oilers as well as two assists.  

Junior Madeline Shewbridge and senior Izzy Murphy-Morrow each added a goal, one groundball and three assists each to Findlay's totals. Murphy-Morrow also had five draw controls for the Oilers.  

Senior Danielle Dilorenzo scored six goals and had one assist as well as controlled the draw a total of 10 times during play. Senior goalie Rachel Bornstein had a total of 10 saves and one groundball.  

The Oilers will be back in action Sunday, Mar. 26 when they play Lake Erie at Armstrong Sports Complex at 12pm.
