ST. PAUL, Minn. - Concordia-St. Paul women's lacrosse (4-0) continued its best start in program history with a 20-6 win over Lewis University (0-4) on Sunday afternoon at the Concordia Dome at Sea Foam Stadium.

The Golden Bears also extended the program's record home winning streak to five games and will now head to Florida next weekend for its three game spring trip including a pair of nationally ranked opponents, #4 Regis (Colo.) next Sunday at Florida Tech's campus before heading to #6 Tampa on Tuesday, March 3 and playing at Florida Tech on Thursday, March 5.

The balanced offensive trend continued as eight players had multi-point games with Mary Keating (2g), Taya Schubert (2g) and Katie Moynihan (1g, 1a) joining the effort and 11 total players factored into the scoring with the team producing eight assists on its 20 goals.

In the first half, Concordia jumped out to a 9-1 lead in the first 18 minutes before Lewis narrowed the margin to five at the break. The Flyers kept the draw control margin within reach with CSP edging them 10-6 in the first 30 minutes.

In the second half, Concordia took control of the draw and the game, scoring the first eight goals of the half and keeping Lewis from the attack in the process. CSP took 10 of the 12 draw controls in the second half and held the Flyers to 2-of-10 clear attempts which kept Lewis to just five shots after the break.

Concordia played consistently in each half, meanwhile, with 20 shots in each half for a 40-14 final shot margin and 10 draw controls in each half for a 20-8 final margin. CSP also converted clears effectively once again (11-14) while Lewis was just 12-of-25 for the game.
