Tiffin University (8-4, 5-2 GLIAC) used strong draw control and clock management to defeat Davenport in a conference contest 13-10.

TU, which held a 17-8 edge in draws including a 10-4 mark in the second half, gave up the first goal of the day just under three minutes into the contest. But the Dragons quickly found their rhythm, scoring 7 of the next 8 goals to jump ahead 7-2. Amie Morrison, Elle MacMillan, and Amanda Flotteron all scored two goals apiece in that stretch, with Maddy Batley getting three assists.

After holding a strong 19-11 shot advantage in the first half, the Dragons led 7-3 at halftime.

Elle Hamilton got in on the scoring action, picking up two goals midway through the second half to push TU's lead to 10-5 with 18:47 to play.

Turnovers (16 for TU) and a ground ball edge for the Panthers (16-12) kept DU in the game, though, as they scored three goals to pull to within 10-8 with 12 minutes to play.

A quick timeout got the Dragons back on track, as they responded with three goals over the next 7 minutes to put the game away. MacMillan picked up two of those goals, including a strong shot from a Morrison pass with 5:35 to play that sealed the win.

Overall TU had a 33-23 shot advantage, with MacMillan leading the attack with 4 goals and an assist. Hamilton also had 4 goals along with 8 draws.

Flotteron had 3 goals and an assist, while Morrison had 2 goals and an assist. Batley had 3 assists, while Tiffany Anderson and Maddy Anton also had assists.

Kat Schneeberger got the win in goal, making 8 saves over 60 minutes.
