Big Rapids, Mich. - For the seventh time in the past eight seasons, the Ferris State University Bulldogs have garnered at least 20 wins as the Bulldogs notched win #20 this year on Thursday (Feb. 17) night in a 77-60 road triumph at Wisconsin-Parkside.

FSU completed a season sweep over the Rangers and stayed on top of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) standings, utilizing a late first-half charge followed by a big second-half run to garner the victory.

With the win, the Bulldogs moved to 20-5 overall and 15-2 in the GLIAC, holding onto a one-game lead over second place Michigan Tech with three regular-season games remaining. FSU has now won 20 gmaes or more each season since 2014-15 with the exception of the shortened 2020-21 COVID campaign.

The Bulldogs built a 32-23 halftime lead thanks to a late first-half spurt that included a pair of deep three-pointers from graduate senior Lee Higgins. In the second half, the Bulldogs pushed the margin to nearly 20 points and maintained the pace down the stretch for the 17-point triumph.

Senior guard Walt Kelser led FSU with a game-high 24 points in the win while senior forward Dorian Aluyi chipped in with 12 points. Higgins added 11 points and senior big man Logan Ryan totaled 10 points in the win.

Offensively, FSU shot 53.4% from the floor and made six-of-17 (35.3%) three's to go with nine-of-12 (75%) free throws.

Meanwhile, a strong defensive effort held the Rangers to only 32.3% shooting for the evening with UWP finishing nine-of-32 (28.1%) from long range and nine-of-16 (56.3%) at the line.

The Bulldogs held a slim 39-38 rebounding edge, but also held a decisive edge inside the paint and overcame 14 turnovers en route to the win.

The Rangers were paced by Rasheed Bello with 16 points. Tray Croft added 14 points, but those were the only two Parkside players to reach double-digits in the game.

Ferris State will play its final regular-season road game of the year on Saturday (Feb. 19) as the Bulldogs visit Purdue Northwest for a 4 p.m. (ET) league encounter in Hammond, Ind.
