Women's Tennis Falls to Lynn

Brianna Douglas and Sabrina Laynes won at No. 3 doubles.

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Though the match was incomplete, the Wayne State University women's tennis team (4-4 overall) was defeated by Lynn (7-3 overall) 4-0 Saturday afternoon at the Perper Tennis Complex. 

SINGLES
Anais Ruyssen (Nantes, France), Marta Komar (Inowroclaw, Poland) and Laura Cazacu (London, England) didn't get to finish their matches. 

At No. 3 singles, Linda Liong (Sarawak, Malaysia) was defeated 0-6, 1-6. 

Playing at No. 5 singles, Brianna Douglas (Dayton, Ohio / Chaminade Julienne) was upended, 1-6, 1-6. 

Suki Mandair (Dexter, Mich. / Ann Arbor Skyline) also lost at No. 6 singles, 0-6, 0-6. 

DOUBLES
The only win of the match came from Douglas and Sabrina Laynes (Saginaw, Mich. / Heritage) at No. 3 doubles.  The duo collected a 6-4 victory. 

At No. 1 doubles, the Warriors' pair of Ruyssen and Komar lost, 2-6. 

Finally, at No. 2 doubles, Cazacu and Liong were defeated, 1-6. 

UP NEXT
The Warriors will hit the court again on Sunday, March 13 against Saint Anselm College.  That match is set for 3 PM in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
