Ferris State Falls In First Florida Outing To Rollins In Men's Tennis Action

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis team battled tough in its opening match of its annual spring break trip to Florida, but fell short in a 5-2 decision to Rollins (Fla.) on Monday (March 11) at the Bert Martin Tennis Complex in Winter Park, Fla.

The Bulldogs fell behind early as Rollins claimed all three doubles positions to take the initial point.

In singles play, FSU rallied with two wins, however it was not enough as Rollins grabbed the necessary points to earn the triumph.

Ferris State's two singles wins came from Pablo Munoz Baroja at the third flight by retirement and Ayush Deswal in a three-setter at the sixth spot in the lineup.

FSU dropped to 2-5 overall with the setback.

The Bulldogs continue action in Florida on Tuesday (March 12) as they visit nationally sixth-ranked Saint Leo (Fla.) starting at 11 a.m. (ET).
