SVSU falls to Purdue Northwest on the road

HAMMOND, Ind. - The Saginaw Valley State University men's soccer team fell on the road at Purdue University Northwest on Friday by a score of 3-0 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action. The Cardinals record drops to 6-3-0 overall and 3-2-0 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Purdue Northwest got their first goal of the game in the 25th minute when Ryan Moran sent a shot into the back of the net. The Pride took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break.

The Pride added two more goals in the second half, with one coming from Harrison Hooper in the 74th minute, and the other from Ben Barrette in the final minute of the game. Callum Harley made one save in the net for the Cardinals.

Purdue Northwest outshot SVSU 9-7 while Brady Walker led the Cardinals with three shots.

SVSU remains on the road to take on Davenport University at 1 pm Sunday in Caledonia, Mich.
