Bulldogs Battle To Wire In Close Road Setback At Michigan Tech

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's basketball squad battled to the wire, but fell short in a 69-68 road setback at Michigan Tech on Sunday (Dec. 11) in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play.

FSU held a three-point halftime margin before the Huskies produced a 33-29 second-half edge in the triumph.

The Bulldogs had a pair of players reach double-figure scoring as both Ben Davidson and Vejas Grazulis each netted 11 points. A trio of others scored nine points each, including Solomon Oraegbu, Ethan Erickson and Mykel Bingham.

Ferris State made 41.3% of its field goals and went 12-of-17 (70.6%) at the free throw line, but finished only four-of-16 (25%) from long range. FSU held a 40-29 rebounding edge and netted 12 turnovers compared to 10 for the Huskies.

Michigan Tech converted 50% of its field goals and hit six-of-18 (33.3%) three's along with nine-of-13 (69.2%) free throws. The Huskies were paced by Adam Hobson and Dan Gherezgher with 12 points apiece.

The Bulldogs will return home to host Michigan-Dearborn on Saturday, Dec. 17, inside the new Bulldog Arena starting at 7 p.m. (ET) in non-league play.
