Ferris State Wins Third Consecutive Game By Claiming Opening Game Victory At Quincy Classic

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's basketball squad opened up action at the Quincy Classic on Friday (Nov. 19) evening with a 70-57 win over the host Hawks, giving FSU its third consecutive win of the year.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 20-12 first-quarter lead and built a 12-point halftime advantage in earning the victory to move to 3-1 on the year.

FSU was paced by Kadyn Blanchard, who totaled a team-high 16 points. Senior guard Adrienne Anderson added 12 points with Zoe Anderson totaling 11 points in the triumph.

The Bulldogs shot 45% from the floor, but connected on only five-of-21 (23.8%) three's in the game. FSU finished 11-of-16 (68.8%) at the free throw stripe.

Overall, the Bulldogs out rebounded Quincy 33-27 for the game, coming down with 12 offensive boards.

Ferris State also forced 21 turnovers in the contest.

With the setback, Quincy fell to 0-3 on the year. Grace Flanagan was the lone Quincy player to reach double-figure scoring with 11 points.

Ferris State will wrap up action at the Quincy Classic versus McKendree (Ill.) on Saturday (Nov. 20) starting at 3 p.m. (ET).
