GAME HIGHLIGHTS (NINE INNINGS)

  • Northwood opened the scoring in an unusual way in the third, as Jacob Rybicki scored from second on a sacrifice fly to right field by Joey Johnston to put the Timberwolves up 1-0.

  • Myles Beale followed with a solo home run of his own to get the Timberwolves within two at 5-3.
  • After a Blake Solomon single, David Jeffers came through big with the biggest hit of his Northwood career, a two run-homer to left with two outs that tied the game 5-5.
  • The score remained 5-5 until the 12th inning when NU broke through, starting with a Beale RBI single to make the score 6-5.
  • An error on an Evan Wiegand groundball brought home a pair to push the lead to 8-5.
