Men's Tennis Battles at Toledo, Falls 5-2

Box Score TOLEDO, Ohio -- The Wayne State University men's tennis team (6-1 overall) met Toledo (8-6 overall) on Sunday evening and the Warriors lost 5-2.

DOUBLES RESULTS
Freshman Dom Spicer (London, England) and sophomore David Solar (Prague, Czech Republic) won 6-3 at No. 2 doubles to start the match.

Junior Niklas Karcz (Bottrop, Germany) and freshman Luke Laws (Sunderland, England) were next to finish but fell 6-3 at the top flight of doubles.


Sophomore Max Rink (Wetzlar, Germany) and senior Pierre Renaudie (Sathonay-Camp, France) helped WSU collect the doubles point with a 7-6 win at No. 3 doubles.


SINGLES RESULTS
The second flight of singles was the first to finish and Renaudie fell 6-2, 6-3.

Karcz lost 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, while Laws lost 7-5, 6-3 at No. 3 singles.

Rink battled at No. 4 singles and won 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 to trim Toledo's match lead to 3-2.

Spicer lost 6-2, 3-6, 3-6 at No. 5 singles and Solar dropped the six singles match 6-2, 3-6, 3-6.

UP NEXT
The Warriors will host Northwestern Ohio on Friday at noon.
