No. 11 Chargers edge Dragons 11-10

The Tiffin University women's lacrosse team faced the No. 11 New Haven University Chargers on Sunday afternoon, narrowly falling 11-10.

The Chargers got on the board quickly, scoring two goals in a little over two minutes of play. The Dragons responded with a pair of goals, getting scores from Morgan Sherley andAmanda Flotteron to tie the score 2-2 at the 24:37 mark in the 1st half. A Chargers' goal gave them a short lived 3-2 lead, before Tiffin scored three straight goals to end the half. The three goals came from Sherley with the assist going to Flotteron at 19:14, and Elle MacMillan powered a pair of shots past the Chargers' keeper to give Tiffin a 5-3 1st half lead.

Amie Morrison started the half with a goal to give Tiffin its largest lead at 6-3. New Haven fired back with four consecutive goals in a little less than three minutes of action to take a 7-6 lead. The Dragons kept the offense rolling with a 4-0 run of their own, receiving a pair of goals from Elle Hamilton and Sherley to lead 10-7. 

The Dragons, holding a three goal lead with less than ten minutes remaining, couldn't hold on, allowing New Haven to score four goals over the final 09:09 to defeat the Dragons 11-10.

Morgan Sherley led Tiffin with four goals on nine shots.Elle Hamilton and Elle MacMillan each added a pair of goals, and Randi Castner snagged four ground balls. Between the pipes, Kat Schneeberger suffered the defeat, facing 14 shots on goal, making three saves.

Tiffin falls to 1-3 overall and will be back in action on March 17.
