Things started well for Tiffin at the Midwest regional but eventually turned against them, as the Dragons fell to Wayne State 4-1.

The Dragons (21-5) won the doubles point by taking two of three matches. After Anais Ruyssen/Marta Komar defeated Allessandra Maganuco/Anaelle Lepinay 6-1, the Dragons bounced back. Emily Young/Emily Barrett beat Laura Cazacu/Linda Liong 6-3 and Carina Avram/Sharanya Shetty edged Brianna Douglas/Sabrina Laynes 6-4 to put TU ahead 1-0 heading to singles play.

The Dragons fell in four straight singles matches. Anais Ruyssen clipped Emily Barrett 6-2, 6-2, Laura Cazacu narrowly defeated Emily Young 6-4, 6-4, Linda Liong downed Anaelle Lepinay 6-2, 6-3, and Sabrina Laynes beat Jessica Peace 6-2, 6-3.
