Tiffin University (0-3) trailed by four goals early and could not catch up, eventually falling to Davenport 11-8.

Both teams took a while to get their offenses going. Davenport opened scoring at the 21:45 mark, and Tiffin answered on a free position goal from Danielle Roberts at the 20:39 mark.

The Dragons, though, did not manage another goal for over 15 minutes, as DU opened up a 5-1 lead. Elle Hamilton scored a free position goal late in the first half, but that was all TU could muster as they trailed 5-2 at the half.

Hamilton made it 5-3 quickly out of the halftime break, but TU and the Panthers continued to trade goals throughout the half.

Tiffin finally got back to back goals from Isabella Piccione and Leah Davis to climb to within one at 7-6 with 12:58 to play.

After another DU goal, Rylee Sutherland scored for Tiffin to make it 8-7. The Panthers tallied three of the next four goals, though, including a final goal with 33 seconds left that sealed the victory.

DU held a 31-21 shot advantage, including 16-9 in the first half. They also led in ground balls 18-10 and in draws 12-9 including 9-4 in the second half.

Hamilton had 3 goals with an assist along with 4 draws, while Davis also had 2 goals.

Jenay Rennie took the loss in goal, making 8 saves over 60 minutes.
