Box Score - Game 1

Box Score - Game 2

The University of Findlay baseball team split a double header against Walsh University on Saturday, March 19th in Findlay, Ohio.

After managing only two hits in a 16-0 loss in the first game, the Oilers bounced back on the shoulder of game two starter Preston Zachrich with a 2-1 win in game two.

Both of Findlay's runs came in the bottom of the third when Dustin Zielaskiwicz started the inning with a doubled down the right field line and advanced to third on a throwing error.  After Riley Christian was hit by a pitch, Eric Terwilliger had an RBI singled to left field to plate Zielaskiwicz and give the Oilers a 1-0 lead.  Reid Rothenbuhler then plated Christian on a double play ball to the third baseman for Findlay's second run.

Preston Zachrich went 6 and a third innings giving up one earned run on five hits while striking out five.

Freshman closer Alex Williams got the save after striking out the final batter of the game with the bases loaded.

The twin bill split gives the Oilers a 5-5 record on the season.  They will be back in action tomorrow against Walsh in another double header scheduled for noon.
