FROM THE PLAYERS
"Today was a good start for us.  We displayed what we've been working on all off-season.  We're excited for the competition that lies ahead," said second-year player Marta Komar.

FROM COACH SNYDER
"After being on the road the entire fall season, it was nice to open the spring season with a home match on our new indoor courts, in which the WSU administration worked so hard to make happen.  The entire team was very excited to play someone besides themselves and played well throughout the lineup, including many freshmen and a great group of upperclassmen.  It was very fun to watch them become the first group to win on each new court for a home opening victory in front of many supporters," said head coach Sheila Snyder.

UP NEXT
Wayne State will remain at home and welcome Walsh to the Duchene Athletic Facility on Sunday.  The match is set to begin at 1 p.m.
