Ferris State Tennis Earns Split On Final Day In Florida

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's tennis squads wrapped up play in Florida on Friday, earning a split in non-league play against Palm Beach Atlantic.

The Bulldog men's team, ranked 11th in the country, recorded a 5-2 triumph over the Sailfish while the women fell in a close 4-3 setback.

"I'm very happy with the growth we made this week in Florida," said FSU head coach Mark Doren. "We scheduled a hard trip so we could see what we were made of and I think both teams know this experience with help them moving into GLIAC play."

Both Ferris State teams return back to Michigan and will open GLIAC play on Friday, March 24, versus Wayne State at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.
