AUBURNDALE, Fla. - Tiffin's offense could not get going on Friday afternoon, managing seven hits but no runs in a 9-0 loss to Saginaw Valley.

Zach Campbell had two of the hits for Tiffin, while Cody Orr, Kyle Vance, Nich Green, Oakley Tippen, and Jake Shier picked up the other five.

Noah Kandel started the game for the Dragons, going five innings and allowing three runs on six hits with four strikeouts. Gunnar Boehm also pitched well in relief, throwing three innings and allowing just one run on two hits with another four strikeouts.

Saginaw Valley scored in five of the seven innings, picking up one run in the third, two in the fifth, one in the sixth, one in the seventh, and finally a four-spot in the ninth.

Tiffin put two runners on base in both the fifth and sixth frames but was unable to come up with timely hits and push any runs across the plate.

The Dragons will play their second-to-last game of the Spring Break trip tomorrow evening when they face Northern State at 5:00 p.m.
