Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's basketball squad claimed the outright Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) North Division Championship on Saturday (Feb. 22) as FSU beat Wisconsin-Parkside 75-70 in Kenosha, Wis.

The Bulldogs held on down the stretch for the win as they moved to 26-5 overall this year. The title was FSU's third in the last four seasons to date and the 16th in program history.

With the win, Ferris State also currently holds a one-game lead over rival Grand Valley State atop the league's overall standings for the number one seed in the GLIAC Tournament heading into the final regular-season outings next week. FSU has secured a berth in the league tournament and will host a quarterfinal-round home game on Tuesday, March 3.

FSU completed its final league road trip with a sweep as the Bulldogs garnered the win over the Rangers to claim the outright crown.

Junior forward Dorian Aluyi led the Bulldogs with a team-high 20 points while junior guard Walt Kelser added 14 points in the triumph.

The Bulldogs shot 45% from the floor and went 14-of-32 (43.8%) from the three-point arc in the victory while making five-of-seven (71.4%) free throws.

The Bulldogs also came up with 11 offensive rebounds and owned a 29-27 edge on the glass overall.

The Rangers were led by Brandon Hau, who finished with 21 points on 10-of-18 shooting. Jonathon Morrobel added 12 points and Brandon Trimble scored 11 points in the setback.

The win avenged a setback at Parkside a year ago that enabled the Rangers to claim last year's divisional crown after FSU had won back-to-back titles the previous two years.

The Bulldog men joined the women's squad as outright GLIAC North Division Champions with both teams winning games at Parkside to secure their respective league crowns on Saturday.

Ferris State returns home to host rival Lake Superior State in the regular-season finale on Thursday (Feb. 27) at Jim Wink Arena with tipoff set for 5:30 p.m. (ET).
