Oilers End Four Game Series With Split

The University of Findlay baseball team split a doubleheader with Hillsdale College to end their four game series on Saturday, April 7th in Findlay, Ohio.

In game one, the Oilers only run came when Riley Christian scored on his own ground ball single up the middle that went through the center fielders legs and rolled all the way to the wall.  Tommy Roush and Reid Rothenbuhler had the only other two hits for Findlay in the game.

Jon Walker took a no-hitter into the fifth inning in the second game to give the Oilers the boost they needed to pull out a 2-1 win.

The Oilers scored a runs in the third on a Roush sacrifice fly and in the fourth when Garrett Busch scored on a Dustin Zielaskiwicz fielder's choice.

Walker picked up his first win of the season while Alex Williams recorded his fifth save.

The split brings the Oilers overall record to 10-17 on the season with a 5-11 mark in GLIAC play.  They will be back in action on Tuesday, April 10th when they travel to Urbana for a twin bill scheduled for 1 p.m.
