Malone looked poised to escape the second inning unharmed but with the bases loaded and two outs, sophomore
Katie Snoddy could not beat the Findlay base runner to the third base bag for the force out, plating a run and keeping the inning alive. The next batter, Jackie Messermith, cleared the bases with a double to left field.
Malone threatened in the seventh inning, scoring two runs on rbi groundouts from freshman
Juliana Shultes and Byrne. The Pioneers brought the tying run to the plate with two outs in the form of freshman
